Center for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA), AID-India and Sahaja Aharam
Cooperatives Federation together launched Sahaja Aharam, an organic food cooperative connecting farmers and consumers. The Public Launch took place on October 10, 2010 at Ravindra Bharati.
Sahaja Aharam Cooperative Federation is an initiative to create a platform
for Health-conscious and Eco-friendly consumers and farmers. The *Sahaja
Aharam* consumer cooperative has been registered to make food that is grown
and processed without the use of harmful chemicals available to consumers of
Hyderabad at reasonable prices. The cooperative runs a shop in Tarnaka
selling organic and pesticide-free food and other products.
In addition, the products reach many more through a mobile van, and product
racks placed in some stores in different locations in the city.
