Safflower - Traditional preparations

Satthemma fondly recalls traditional Safflower recipes and recreates the backyard charm in our balcony. I didn't notice the gentle crackling sound of the safflower seeds being pounded by the long wooden pestle, until my son came running to see what sound it was. Once my attention was drwan I found it very musical and very... natural! Like the earthen shades there seem to be earthen sounds too.

Traditional processing gives the real taste. even the safflower oil extracted in a traditional oil press is said be having good taste. Oil recovery might be less but the product will be free from any chemicals.
