PitaLa Machcha - the Flexible Fish toy of Belaguntha

Recycled brass pieces strung/sewn together with a thin wire manually to create a radiant fish shape, enabling it to Flex and Move like a real Fish! PerhapsI have seen similar things in wood but I never took it seriously until now, when it is time for me to talk about Grandmother stories.The proverbial 7 fish story has been our very own Root Cause Analysis scenario. This story has been a great tool to improve the language skills and cognitive development children. Almost all children in our state grow up listening to this story! I say it with a Traditional craft Fish from Orissa, bought from UtkaLamrita! Truly... "Art is Ambrosia!" It just feels like only the other day when I was trying to pronounce UTKALA correctly and was wondering what the word really meant. Now, I have an answer! Thanks to technology and Knowledge society...UTKALA is of course current Orissa but the word literally means "Finest Art" - utkRshTa kaLa!!!
